AD,
the Emperor of
China Hi
Fo
already
raised
dogs
sleeve
tiny,
distant ancestors,
no doubt,
the current
Japanese
Spaniel.
But
the introduction of
the race
in Japan
leads to
two
versions.
According to some,
a
Korean
royal mission
would,
in 732
BC.
BC
offered
to
the first
Toy Spaniel
Mikado.
According to other
historians,
Buddhist monks
in Japan
have
introduced
the
Tibetan
Spaniels
who
mated with
Beijing residents,
would have
resulted in
the race.
In 1853,
Commodore
Perry, commander of the
U.S. Navy,
tried to
bring seven
of the
spaniel in
his country.
But five
died
and
two
others disappeared.
A few years later,
in 1882,
nine
Japanese
Spaniels
dwarfs
were presented
at the exhibition
in New York.
The following year,
the Americans
created the first
club
race,
but for lack of
sufficient
seed,
it collapsed
and
it was not until
1912
that a new
club
was created.
At the same time,
it made
its appearance
in England
in 1865.
At about
the same time,
the Mikado
offered
a couple of
spaniels
to the Emperor of
Germany, and
when
the
race
was a great success
in Europe.
