The Morkis is a cross between a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier. The Morky
a hair silk hair type, which gives it the advantage of being anti-allergenic.
This little dog, loses very little hair.Yes, like most small dogs, he
likes to bark, he will have to work this point, from its appearance, not
to take this habit.2 brushings maintenance and brushing thoroughly 1 week,
will make your little pile of hair does not tangle. If it's too much
maintenance for you, you could make mowing more often. Or perhaps this
little treasure is not the right dog for you! It really needs regular
maintenance.
Because of its small size, the owners tend to relax their attention and to
spend all her whims. Serious error because it will soon become master of
the household.

The Morky is a cross between a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier. The
advantage of this cross is that it is very rare that it is white,
therefore easier to maintain. He also runs his eyes but as a dark hair
around the eyes, dark circles are apparent months. This little dog is very
robust. It also has a soft and sumptuous robe, a separate line and can
fall to the ground. The coat is stiff or slightly wavy, should not be
curly. The ears are either pending or raised slightly bent. The tail is
carried curled over his back, if not curtailed. The round eyes are dark
and circled. The nose is black. The muzzle is slightly pointed. The body
is slightly longer than tall. |

| History |
|
This hybrid was born from a mix of Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier. We can
find two distinct origins, the first one coming from the United States and
the second one from Canada, more precisely in Quebec. The first Morkie
appeared in 1990's and had characteristics such as hanging or down ears,
the silky and straight coat, colors from black and tan to tricolor. It is
impossible to find the creators of this designer dog because the only
interest is to obtain the F1 type popularized in the same wave as the "doodles"
by Americans. The mix remained popular because it's non shedding coat,
small size and interesting "look". On the other hand, the temperament
differs, individually, ranging from calm and soft to active and nervous,
all, however, with a remarkable intelligence. The second comes from Quebec
breeder, who named it "Linois". Linois is small size dog that has a long,
silky coat of solid blond to champagne with straight ears and short tail
like the Yorkshire Terrier. This type has more of the Yorkshire
temperament and is both active and playful with a remarkable intelligence.
