Our english texts were translates by an automatic translator. Sorry for
the formulation erreurs.
Scottish has a quite particular look which
makes it resemble an old English colonel. Its distant air discourages of
them more one, more especially as it does not make any effort to allure
the foreigners who interest it little. One should not proud for its air
snob, actually, it very merry, is very enjoué, able of all, it has a
strong personality. Very young person, it will surprise its Master
by his maturity. II fact few silly things, but it is not therefore
“passive”, it takes part with spirit in the plays of the children.
One could believe it obstinate, actually, it obeys his hour. It is not
subjected, but it knows the limits not to be exceeded. To make it obey,
one needs ruser and knowledge to use of its weaknesses, in particular of
its greediness. He is not a sportsman. It is preferable to limit the
length of the walks, because it is tired quickly. It chooses its
Master with whom it maintains the privileged relationship different from
with the remainder from the family. It is an excellent guard who
defends his property. Its voice is impressive for its size, and the
intruders will have to be wary of its jaws powerful. It preserved
its ancestral instincts of hunter, it takes a malicious pleasure to
continue hens or the cat of the neighbor

| Characteristics |
| The Scottish Terrier can get along with the other
animals, in as
much as those hold good, because all that runs can start the instinct of
predator of this puppy. This same instinct, compound with a certain
aggressiveness, means that the Scottish Burrow must always be in leaves
or in an enclosed place. Although it is not high any more for hunting,
it can still continue savage animals like the mice, the rats and the
raccoons with a surprising ferocity. |

| Personality |
| Called “Diehard” (hard to cook), the
Scottish Terrier is a sharp puppy, honest and alarm which can be protective
as much than player, and at the same time impassioned of its Master and
independent. Although it is charming and that it has much character, its
intelligence, its independence and its very alert personality can make of
it a companion who presents many challenges. It will be necessary to be
firm and constant, without what the puppy is likely to become dominating
and difficult to control. Moreover, some can be of mood changing and
intolerant towards the children. It is nevertheless about a faithful dog -
with only one family, in fact -, which can be indifferent to the other
people. It accepts the older children; it does not like to be made tap and
be made push. |

| History |
| The race of the Scottish Terrier was created in
Scotland in the years 1700. The dog was initially named Aberdeen Terrier,
of the city of the same name. As many other dogs to the long and low body,
the Terrier shelled was used for hunting for the animals of burrow,
especially the otters, the foxes, the badgers and rabbits; it was
particularly gifted to make leave these small animals under the stones and
out of the holes. Nowadays, it is mainly a dog of company, although it
preserved its instinct of hunter. |

| Behaviours |
| Certain Burrows shelled adapt well to the life
in apartment, but of others like much to have a small court at their
disposal to meet their need for independence. This independence makes this
dog difficult to involve: it likes “to make its own decisions”. For
example, it will prefer, if it is more logical for him, to circumvent an
obstacle rather than to jump over. In the same way, if it knows that its
Master does not allow him to go up on his bed, it obeys in its presence
but made there naps when it is alone. The Scottish Burrow is thus a dog
difficult to draw up, but it adores the contests of agility, where it can
make its own decisions while looking at its Master “running in round and
to have the stupid air” (quotation of breeder). “The Burrows
Scottish adore that.” |
